Renewal of the booklet

You have two options!
Call us and we will mail you your paper forms.
Otherwise, visit the “Renew my booklet” section and you will find the Paper form needed to renew your fishing book.

We accept three methods of payment:

  • Online payment through your fisherman portal;
  • By sending us a money order to 167 Grande Allée Est, Grande-Rivière, Qc G0C1VO;
  • By paying on site at the BAPAP office located at 167 Grande-Allée Est in Grande-Rivière on the second floor of the School of Fisheries.

You are a captain holding a fishing license and you wish to pay the renewal of your entire crew? Here is what you have to do:

  • 1- You need to log in to your fisherman portal and go to the “My renewals” section. In the first step, when you enter your sea times, you must select all your helpers for each sea time and click on the + in crews.
  • 2- In the third section “Crews” you must check the box for each of the crew members that you want to pay the renewal. When paying online you will pay for the selected people.

Yes, all fishermen have the obligation to update annually even if the captain pays. If you are a fisherman’s helper and you wish to complete your renewal, you must go to your portal with your email address and password. In the menu “My renewals” it will be possible to complete the form even if the payment is already made by your captain. If you do not have a cell phone or computer to use the online portal, call us at (418) 385-4000.

Online fishing portal

What should I do? It’s very simple! Click on the following web link portail.bapap.qc.ca and click on “Forgot your password?”. You will be able to create a new password.

BAPAP’s mandate is to professionalize and enhance the value of the fisheries harvesting industry’s trades, in the same way as the order of engineers or the card in construction. Secondly, BAPAP advises the Minister on all matters relating to the professional competence of fishers and fisher’s helpers.

You can access it from the top right corner of your screen via the blue “Fisherman’s Portal” button. You can also access it from this link: https://portail.bapap.qc.ca/bapap

First of all, go to your fisherman portal. Once you are logged in, click on “My training courses” in the left-hand menu. You will have access to the list of courses you have done so far, if any. To add new ones, just click on the + button. Then, send us a copy of your diplomas to the email address or to our civic address at 167 Grande Allée Est, Grande-Rivière, G0C 2V0. Upon receipt, BAPAP will be able to approve your training added in your portal.
